ABOUT
The Martinez Brothers, an American DJ
duo, are two of the most recognizable
global stars in house, techno, and
club culture. Introduced to disco and
house by their father from a young age,
they come from the roots of New York’s
legacy club, The Paradise Garage. While
producing a plethora of music, they also
run their own music label, Cuttin’ Headz
and Tuskegee with Seth Troxler. Since
first hitting the road at ages 15 and 17,
they have gone on to sell out some of
the world’s largest venues, performing
regularly in hotspots like Ibiza—quickly
rising to become leaders within dance
music’s new guard.
The Martinez Brothers have produced a
number of dance floor-ready releases since
their earliest days at Objektivity. In
late 2013 / early 2014 they released
the two-part hip-hop mixtape “Warhol/
Basquiat,” which Philip Sherburne named
SPIN Magazine’s Dance Track of the Week.
That same year, they were named as DJs of
the year by UK dance music publication
Mixmag, and as a result were placed on
the front cover for the December edition
of the print magazine. In 2015, they
broke into the world of high fashion
by traveling to Paris to provide music
for Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy Menswear
and Womeswear Fall / Winter 2014/15
collections. Musically, The Martinez
Brothers have teamed up with DJ Gregory
/ Point G with “What’s the Point?”
collaborated with the legendary Nile
Rodgers, and have worked with Spanish
Harlem-born hip-hop star Bodega Bamz on
his forthcoming mixtape.
