ABOUT
In a world of dreams, Tenille Arts has seen more come true in the last couple of years than even she could have imagined, and the latest of which is the release of her new full-length album. Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between is a collection of 12 songs that takes the listener on emotional journey with a glimpse into dreams that have come true, sacrifices made along the way and…well… everything in between.

“I’m so excited about this album,” said Tenille. “It’s everything I’ve been through this past year, so the title is very appropriate. It’s four love songs, four breakup songs and four songs about everything else in life.”

Tenille wrote two of the songs solo and partnered with the likes of Allison Veltz Cruz, Whitney Duncan, Derek George, Alex Kline, Palmer Lee, Josh Logan, Lizzy McAvoy, James Slater, Grand Vogelfanger and Adam Wheeler on the other 10 cuts. Kline, Vogelfanger and Wheeler, along with Matt Rovey, have production credits on the collection.

“I got to collaborate with new songwriters and producers, and I’m so proud of the creativity on this album.”

Born and raised in the small Canadian prairie town of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Tenille Arts’ dream of performing took root at the tender age of eight. A neighbor overheard her singing a Shania Twain song in her back yard and encouraged her mom to help her pursue music.

After years of honing her craft and touring across Canada, Tenille began making the long trip to Nashville to advance her songwriting skills. Her determination and talent led to steadily increasing successes, as she earned a publishing deal in Nashville. Her 2016 self-titled debut EP peak at #1 on the iTunes Canada Top Country Album Chart and crack the Top 100 on the U.S. iTunes Country Album Chart.

Arts released her full-length album Rebel Child in October 2017, having written 10 of the 11 songs. It debuted at #2 on the iTunes Canada Top Country Album Chart, #12 on the All-Genres Chart and reached #17 in the United States.

She made her national television debut on January 29, 2018 performing her original song “Moment of Weakness” for millions of viewers on the hit ABC show The Bachelor. The song debuted in the Top 20 on the iTunes U.S. Top Country Songs Chart. Six weeks later, Tenille’s accomplishments were rewarded in a huge way, as she signed a recording deal with Reviver Records – home to David Lee Murphy, Big & Rich and Thompson Square.

Immediately after signing her deal, Reviver released her “I Hate This” single. The groundbreaking music video was partially shot in a set that could rotate 360 degrees. As the cameras rolled, so did the set...and Tenille.

Tenille appeared on The Bachelor a second time singing “I Hate This” on January 21, 2019. The impact on her career was immediate, as the single hit #1 on both the US and Canadian iTunes Country Charts and #9 US iTunes all-genre. The appearance also propelled her 2017 Rebel Child album to re-enter the iTunes Country Albums chart at #5. “I Hate This” topped the Radio Disney Country Top 50 chart, the music video surpassed 2.8 million views on YouTube, and the overall streams are over eight million.

The new decade began with a Grand Ole Opry appearance at the Ryman Auditorium – her first at the historic venue - an unprecedented third appearance on The Bachelor performing her latest single, “Somebody Like That,” which hit #2 on the iTunes Country Chart and #10 overall and drove pre-sales of her Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between to #1. “Somebody Like That” spent three weeks at #1 on the Radio Disney Country Top 50 chart and was the #1 most added single the week it impacted Country radio, a rare feat for a new artist.

Back home, Tenille received seven trophies from the Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards in 2018 and 2019, including “Female Artist of the Year” and “Songwriter of the Year” both years.

Media has also caught on to Tenille. Rolling Stone named her one of their “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,” calling her “An edgy, Fearless-era Taylor Swift with crystalline vocals; ideal for hopeless romantics who are fire signs.” Massive entertainment site PopCulture.com named her one of their Artists to Watch. CMT included her in their “Ten Must-See Indies You Need to Know,” a video discovery program that spotlights rising independent artists and established artists signed to independent labels.

As 2019 heated up, so did Tenille’s profile. She sang the Canadian national anthem prior to game 3 of the 2019 NBA finals live on ABC. That same week, she performed for thousands of fans at the CMA Fest in Nashville and then headed back out west to appear on the 2019 ARDYs: A Radio Disney Music Celebration. In September, she stepped into the famous circle and made her Grand Ole Opry debut. A month later, she made her first trip across the Atlantic to perform two shows in London and three in Germany.

While Tenille may not wish to revisit all of the life experiences that inspired the songs that make up Love, Heartbreak, & Everything In Between, she chooses to see the good that comes out of every situation. The dreams she realized, the wisdom she garnered and the friends she made over the last year have served to fuel her desire to take her music to the world.
