Tara Lily may be only 21 years old, but she considers herself an old soul. Hailing from the musical diversity of South London, Tara Lily has spent her late teens developing her own brand of urban jazz. In September she made a splash with her debut release ‘Who Saw Who’. Tara will be making her festival debut at Love Supreme Jazz Festival on July 7th.

Growing up in Peckham around rappers and beat makers, whilst learning to play traditional jazz and hard bop, Tara found herself at The Brit School at age 15. Not able to fit the mould however, she left early but went on to win a place at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, to study jazz voice and piano, at the same time continuing to write songs and producer her own tracks. Therefore it’s no surprise that Tara has already collaborated with an unlikely range of artists from Jammer BBK, Cosmo Pyke & Chipmunk to Yussef Dayes & Ezra Collective.

She was named one of NME’s Essential Artists for 2019. Her single ‘Who Saw Who’ was included in Virgil Abloh’s Televised Radio Volume ‘2’ on Apple Music, and the single has over 156k streams on Spotify.
