Scribz Riley
ABOUT
In 2020, East London artist Scribz released his acclaimed debut EP ‘Wish Me Luck’. A polished and diverse collection of rap, funk-pop, garage and R&B, it showcased Scribz as a seasoned rapper and accomplished singer. The EP was the culmination of years spent honing his natural musicality in some of the most high-profile writing environments the industry has to offer as a Grammy award-winning producer with the likes of H.E.R., Cardi B and J Hus.
Scribz has so far achieved over 50 million streams for his own music, which has also received support from the likes of BBC 1Xtra and Vevo DSCVR, alongside collaborating with the likes of Headie One and 6LACK previously on his own EP and SiR and kwn more recently. He also made a guest appearance at this year’s Wireless as part of Kaash Paige’s performance on their track together On My Sleeve and was nominated at this year’s Grammy’s for two awards for his work with H.E.R..
Scribz has been back in the studio working on his own sound alongside producing with others over the last couple of years. His forthcoming new music marks a developed musical shift following his blend of R&B and Rap on his deep and soulful debut EP. Reaching a new stage in life and focusing on a refreshed mentality, Scribz has taken time to reflect over the last couple of years since his debut release. Allowing himself space to transition naturally from a producer to an artist, thematically his new music is about being present, living and understanding life and not overthinking the small things, because everything will be how it’s meant to be.
