DJ, producer, and singer, Pedro Sampaio is one of Brazil's biggest music stars today, with a meteoric career that began just over five years ago. Known for his distinctive style, he stands out as a leading figure in the new generation of Brazilian funk. His music goes beyond the traditional beats of the genre—Pedro blends funk with other cultural rhythms from Brazil, creating innovative productions that dominate dance floors and digital platforms.

With infectious hits and a unique sonic identity, he’s helping shape the sound of Brazilian pop with creativity and versatility. With over 3.8 billion streams across audio and video platforms, Pedro has topped Spotify Brazil and Portugal twice with “DANÇARINA” and “POCPOC.”

With more than 9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he has charted six songs on Spotify’s Global Top, including two in the Top 50. He is also the only Brazilian pop artist to have two simultaneous tracks on the Billboard Global chart.

Pedro has released hit singles with major artists like Anitta, J Balvin, Luísa Sonza, Pabllo Vittar, Marina Sena, Ana Castela, Nicky Jam, Dadju, and more.

His debut album, “CHAMA MEU NOME” (2022), reached #7 among the Top 10 Global Spotify Albums, accumulating over 780 million streams. The album features the hits “NO CHÃO NOVINHA”, “ATENÇÃO”, “GALOPA”, and “DANÇARINA”, the latter being the 4th highest-peaking Brazilian song on Spotify’s Global chart (#24) and holding the record for most weeks at #1 in Portugal. His second album, “ASTRO”, was released in 2024 and includes “POCPOC”, “CAVALINHO – Remix”, and “ESCADA DO PRÉDIO”, with collaborations from Anitta, J Balvin, and Marina Sena.

Pedro caught global attention with his funk remix of “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion—featured by the artists themselves during the 2021 Grammy Awards.
He has performed at major music festivals including Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza Brasil, Rock in Rio Lisboa, and Festival Meo Sudoeste in Portugal. At Rock in Rio Portugal’s 20th anniversary, Pedro broke the attendance record at the Galp Stage with a historic show.

With a growing international presence, he’s completed three sold-out European tours, with stops in Portugal, London, Amsterdam, Ibiza, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Dublin, and Zurich.

Pedro also opened shows on Anitta’s "Baile Funk Experience" tour in Los Angeles, Miami, Berlin, Madrid, and Barcelona.

He is the first Brazilian artist to perform at BRESH, the world’s biggest Latin party, in Ibiza, Barcelona, and Brazil. He also played the official after-party for Madonna’s “The Celebration Tour” on Copacabana Beach (RJ) for over 1.6 million people, and performed with Steve Aoki at Tomorrowland Brasil.

With a packed schedule, Pedro plays all over Brazil, appearing at the country’s biggest events and festivals. During Carnival, he performs for over 3.5 million people across street parades and electric trios. At Fortaleza’s New Year’s Eve, one of Brazil’s largest, he celebrated with over 1 million attendees.

He also took part in the São Paulo LGBTQIAPN+ Pride Parade, the world’s largest, drawing more than 1.5 million people, affirming his position as one of Brazil’s most popular and influential pop-funk artists.

Pedro was nominated for a Latin Grammy with “Joga Pra Lua” (Best Portuguese-Language Urban Performance) and also for MTV European Music Awards (Best Brazilian Act). In Portugal, he won the Lusofonia Awards with “Dançarina” and “Cavalinho.”
