Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award winner Paul Walter Hauser is a force to be reckoned with. Hauser received critical acclaim starring opposite Taron Egerton in Dennis Lehane’s “Black Bird” for Apple TV+, including an Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award for his performance. The 6-part crime-drama limited series premiered on the platform to rave reviews in July 2022. The New York Times called his performance a “tour-de-force performance” and the AV CLUB noting “nothing can prepare you for Hauser’s hair-raising performance.” He also received a nomination for the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards in the “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series'' category for his role. Hauser was the only actor in the category who was not the lead of a series to be recognized.

Most recently, Hauser starred in Doug Liman’s THE INSTIGATORS for Apple Original Films alongside Matt Damon, Casey Affleck and Hong Chau. The film was released on August 2nd, 2024. He also starred in THE LUCKIEST MAN IN AMERICA, which premiered at TIFF this past September before being sold to IFC Films. Hauser recently voiced the character “Embarrassment” in Disney-Pixar’s smash hit sequel INSIDE OUT 2, which hit theaters June 14th, 2024. This past winter, he voiced “the Dark” in Netflix’s ORION AND THE DARK opposite Jacob Tremblay, which was released on the streaming platform on February 2nd, 2024.

Up next, Hauser will join the MCU in Disney’s THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS. He will star opposite Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in the highly-anticipated superhero film, which hits theaters July 25th, 2025. Hauser will also star opposite Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson in Paramount Picture’s THE NAKED GUN from director Akiva Schaffer. The crime comedy film will be released on August 1st, 2025.

He recently wrapped production on Amazon and MGM Studio’s action-comedy BALLS UP opposite Mark Wahlberg. The film follows Hauser and Wahlberg as rival co-workers who, after causing an international incident at the World Cup Final, must find a way out of Brazil alive. Hauser also recently wrapped production on 20th Century’s Bruce Springsteen biopic starring Jeremy Allen White, DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE, where Hauser will portray Springsteen’s longtime guitar tech Mike Batlan. He will also portray the late Saturday Night Live legend Chris Farley in New Line Cinema’s upcoming biopic, THE CHRIS FARLEY SHOW.

In Summer 2023, Hauser starred in Season 2 of Apple’s hit comedic series “The Afterparty” from Lord & Miller. He was joined by an all-star cast including Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoe Chao, Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall and Vivian Wu in the series, which premiered on the platform on July 12th, 2023. Hauser also starred in Bron Studios AMERICANA opposite Sydney Sweeny, Halsey and Eric Dane. Written and directed by Tony Tost, this crime thriller follows the lives of outsiders and outcasts in a small South Dakota town after a rare Lakota Ghost Shirt falls onto the black market causing the lives of the locals to violently intertwine. The film premiered at the SXSW film festival in March 2023 before being sold to Lionsgate for wider distribution.

Hauser is best known for his scene-stealing performance as 'Shawn Eckhardt' in Craig Gillespie's I, TONYA starring opposite Margot Robbie, Sebastian Stan and Allison Janney. Following the success of I, TONYA, Hauser landed another breakout role as ‘Ivanhoe’ in Spike Lee's BLACKKKLANSMAN, which earned a statue at the 2019 Oscars. Hauser gained critical acclaim from his performance in Clint Eastwood's RICHARD JEWELL for Warner Bros. starring in the titular role opposite a star-studded supporting cast of Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm and Olivia Wilde. For his role as Richard Jewell, Hauser earned the Game Changer Award from Hollywood Critics Association, as well as the Breakthrough Performance Award from the National Board of Review.

Among Hauser’s other credits is his widely known, fan favorite role as “Stingray” in Netflix's smash hit COBRA KAI having recurred in series since 2019. Following the success of I, TONYA, he reunited with director Craig Gillespie in the Disney franchise CRUELLA opposite Emma Stone and Emma Thompson in a very punky & fashion forward live action reimagining of 101 DALMATIANS. His other recent credits include the comedy film QUEENPINS in which he appears opposite Kristen Bell and Vince Vaughn, and DELIA’S GONE starring alongside Maris Tomei.
