ABOUT
Kix Brooks was born and raised in Shreveport, LA where he hit the ground running and has never slowed down. He got into music at a young age which eventually lead him to Nashville where he started his career writing hit songs for other artists such as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Highway 101, and John Conlee. In 1990 Kix teamed with Ronnie Dunn to form Brooks & Dunn, who are the highest selling duo in the history of country music. In September 2010 Brooks & Dunn played their last concert together as a duo but they definitely left their mark on history. They sold more than 30 million records, won more than 75 major industry awards, and had 23 #1 hits during their 20-year run together.

In 2006 Kix took over the hosting reins of the long-running syndicated radio program, American Country Countdown, where every week he counts country music's Top 30 songs. Kix is also the host of Kickin’ It With Kix, a fresh, fun, upbeat approach to overnights that brings together country music's top celebrities, hit music, and the fans. The broadcast industry has taken note and honored Kix with the CMA National Broadcast Personality of the Year Award in 2009, 2011, and 2013, making him the first person to ever win a CMA Award in both the artist and broadcast categories.

Never one to stand still Kix ventured into the movie business with his production company Team Two Entertainment where you will find him in front of and behind the camera. Team Two Entertainment has released movies titled: A Country Christmas (October 2013), Ambush At Dark Canyon (January 2014), and Born Wild (December 2014). Kix is the founding partner of Arrington Vineyards and Lilac Farms, a highly successful winery and wedding/special events venue just south of Nashville. Kix continues to tour across the country with his band and in 2015 he will take on Vegas with a residency at The Colloseum at Caesar’s Palace with Reba McEntire and Ronnie Dunn. Reba + Brooks & Dunn: Together In Vegas kicks off June 17th.

Kix continues to give back to his community through his involvement with organizations such as the Country Music Association, Operation Finally Home, Veterans Matter, Tennessee Tourism Board, and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. In December 2014 Kix was named the first recipient of the Country Music Association’s Humanitarian Award.
