Originally from Pittsburgh, KELS spent three years based in Atlanta before relocating to Los Angeles in 2025. She gained significant buzz after embarking on a 52-show U.S. tour in 2023 completely independently, with no management or label support. Over eight months on the road, her following grew fivefold, with fans funding the entire tour.
In May 2024, KELS headlined the Atlanta Jazz Festival, opening for André 3000, later returning on the road for another independent run completing a 25-show Northeast tour beginning in August 2024. In 2025 she went on a secret show tour across the US fully funded by her fans. With co-signs from both Big Boi and Timbaland, KELS is currently working on her debut EP and album slated for 2026.
