For decades, Kari Jobe Carnes has been using her gifts and talents to lead people into personal, transformative experiences in God’s presence. She is a lover of Jesus, wife, mom, and artist.
Heartfelt, genuine, but with an adventurous spirit, Kari’s desire to sit at the feet of Jesus is impossible to ignore.
Over the years Kari has won numerous awards as a recording artist. But whether she is singing or speaking, her ministry echoes this central cry: “This God we serve desires to be with us every moment of every day. Yet before He can move, we must surrender. There can be then this wonderful exchange in our worship where we give God our brokenness, hurts, and pain and see Him replace it all with His peace, grace, and joy. He loves us more than we could ever know, and He desires to breathe His life into us.”
Continually exemplifying what it means to be dedicated to one's craft and faith, Kari seeks to see the miraculous become commonplace, the broken healed, and the lost return home. It's a passion that draws her to the throne room, encountering God personally so she can lead others to that same place of worship and intimacy corporately.
Originally from Texas and now residing in Nashville, Tennessee, Kari tours across the globe with her husband Cody Carnes and their two boys, Canyon and Kingston. They both serve regularly at their home church, The Belonging Co.
