ABOUT
Georgia native, Jon Langston, has always had a love for music of all kinds, but has not always pursued a career in the music industry. Even though he had a band in 8th grade with a few hometown buddies—including longtime friend and “Issues” drummer Josh Manuel who co-produced Langston’s first two EP’s in 2013—it was nothing more than just a fun hobby for Langston at the time. Instead, Langston set his sights on playing football in high school and earned a Division I scholarship to play at North Carolina’s Gardner-Webb University in 2009. It was not until his junior year of college when he picked up the guitar again. “I suffered multiple concussions, and so the coaches, doctors, and myself decided the best thing for my health was to hang up the pads,” Langston says. “It was hard but I knew it was the right thing to do. I didn’t know what God had planned for my life at the time.” Langston turned to music after his career-ending concussions by relearning the guitar, writing his own songs and posting them on YouTube. “It is crazy how God closes one door and opens another. I had no idea what was ahead of me with the whole music world.”

Since then, the now 26 year old Music City resident has not only scored a publishing deal with Sony ATV and is managed by KP Entertainment, but has fostered his own voice in country music and landed a record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville. Langston has worked to develop his own style and sound drawing from a variety of influences. Growing up listening to everything from Alan Jackson to the Eagles, Langston has crafted a fresh, new country sound that is taking flight. His unique sound and songwriting skills have sparked a wildfire fan base across the country. From selling out the Georgia Theatre in November 2015, where Langston has witnessed great other country music acts take the stage, to opening for the very acts he once saw. Langston played over 80 shows in 2017, including as an opener for big names such as Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Chase Rice and Cole Swindell. Jon’s current single “When It Comes To Loving You,” has sold over 20k tracks and reached 500k streams in just the first week. The week it was released, the single sat in the Top 5 of the iTunes All Genres Chart for over 3 days and hit #2 on the Soundscan Digital Track Chart. Just like his newest single swept the charts, Jon Langston is ready to takeoff and sweep country music with his passionate songwriting and fresh country sound.
