IDK stands for “Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge,” a signifier of his often vulnerable lyrical style. Since 2014, he’s released a string of mixtapes including “Sex, Drugs, & Homework,” “Sub Trap,” and “Empty Bank.” He’s an innovator with few equals. His direct and often nakedly autobiographical rhymes became a signature of his style as he quickly gained exposure leading up to his debut, “Is He Real?” The album features singing, rapping, and production from the Maryland native that’s unlike any he’s done before. Influenced by A Tribe Called Quest, 50 Cent, Tupac, and Eminem, IDK questions accepted truths and reveals new ones.
