ABOUT
Himalayas are a four-piece garage rock band from Cardiff who have spent the last few years honing their sound and style. Heavy guitar lines, dual vocals and huge anthemic hooks hold and captivate audiences old and new. Having played at countless festivals including Reading and Leeds and SXSW, sold out local venues and received an impressive amount of radio and international interest in 2019 they started the New Year with plans to step up their game. And then 2020 happened and nobody was expecting that!
Undeterred the band locked down and carried on writing and rehearsing when possible.

They released a single 'We Love To Hate' which received plays from the likes on Radio 1, 6 Music, Radio X, Kerrang! here and KCRW and Serious in the US and took their incredible number of streams on Spotify to over 34 million.

They ended 2021 with a sell out UK headline tour as well as appearing as special guests to the Manic Street Preachers and The DMA’s.

The band, who consist of Joe Williams (lead vocals/guitars), Mike Griffiths (guitars/vocals) and Louis Heaps (bass) met at school and bonded over their love of bands like The Strokes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Muse, Royal Blood and Manic Street Preachers. Drummer James Goldbourn moved to Cardiff from Dubai and found like-minded souls in the trio to complete the line up.

The Himalayas are currently putting the final touches to their debut album with Grammy Award winning mixer Dave Sardy.
New music is lined up for release late summer.
