ABOUT
HEADSEND is a rock band hailing from the outskirts of Byron Bay, Australia. Founded by Rasmus King (vocals and guitar), the band blends a raw, nostalgic energy with a fresh, modern edge.
Rasmus began writing and recording original music in 2022. In 2023, he collaborated with acclaimed producer Mike Crossey (Blur, Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, Yungblud) in Los Angeles, where Crossey mixed the first batch of music set for release in 2025. By 2024, HEADSEND had evolved into a full band, with Rasmus joined by his brother Kyuss King (bass) and schoolmate Bon Soric (drums).
The trio draws inspiration from a rich lineage of 90s rock, channeling influences from iconic bands like Mudhoney, Nirvana, Fugazi, Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, and more, while weaving in nods to legendary artists such as David Bowie, The Beatles, and Beck.
HEADSEND is set for a breakout year, starting with their debut single, “Secrets,” and its accompanying music video, slated for release in early 2025. The band recently wrapped recording sessions with renowned producer Nick DiDia (Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Danzig), further cementing their mission to deliver authentic, powerful rock.
Looking ahead, HEADSEND is planning to return to the U.S. in 2025 for shows and additional recording sessions with iconic producers Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine) and John Hill (Cage the Elephant).
Represented by TaP Management (Lana Del Rey, Dermot Kennedy, London Grammar) and WME Agency Globally, HEADSEND is poised for an exciting trajectory in 2025, both in the studio and on the road. Their electrifying live debut on New Year’s Eve 2024 at the Bangalow Bowl packed the venue and earned rave reviews from their hometown crowd.
Both Rasmus and Kyuss are also professional surfers who have spent over a decade competing and free surfing across the globe, bringing their love of adventure and storytelling into the band’s DNA.
