Be Your Own Pet

Be Your Own Pet was a garage band from Nashville, Tennessee active from 2005 -2008. While only in their teens the band were critical darlings for their music as well as their notoriously chaotic live shows. Signed to Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth’s Ecstatic Peace record label in the US and the legendary XL Records in the UK, the band released two widely acclaimed albums and helped ignite a wave of garage punk. In April 2022, BYOP reunited after 14 years to open for Jack White on his arena tour. News of their return was heralded by fans and critics alike.
